Claire's | Mood Nail Polish

Hi everyone!
I saw Nihrida's Post about the Mood Polishes, and I ran over to the Claire's around the corner from my office during lunch yesterday and picked up Daring/Innocent (Grey to Yellowy Peach) & Calm/Wild (Shimmery Purple to Shimmery Pink).
I put a little bit on my pinkies since I did not have time to remove my current manicure to paint any swatches.
After being impressed, I went back today after work and picked up the other colors, and a second set for my upcoming giveaway.
:o)
I hope you enjoy!

Daring/Innocent

Fabulous/Funky

Happy/Earthy

Growing out a Damaged Nail | Colette at My Simple Little Pleasures

Okay...I am the worst when it comes to NOT breaking a nail.  I seem to always have at least one nail that is tearing or peeling at all times.
I've yet to try this, but Colette at My Simple Pleasures has a wonderful tutorial on her blog.  If you have the same problem as me you have to check out Colette's post here:

I would also like to note that I think she is the queen of water marbling.  Whenever I'm awing her video guides, my husband even likes to watch them.

Valentine's Day Weekend!

I know Valentine's weekend was a week ago, but these past two weeks have been kicking my behind.
We had an installation for a "Showrise" which The Commerce Towers in Houston let ASID use 6 vacant units. Each unit had a number of designers working on different rooms. We did a Living and Dining area, and the tours ran last weekend and this weekend. We are going to uninstall starting tomorrow.
So there was my excuse. :P I never had a chance to photograph my Valentine's Manicure, but it matched my Blue sequinned shoes. :o)
Here are our newly engaged friends! He proposed the February 12, and all of these photos are from the following night.

Here is my husband, Eric and his newly engaged friend. We ate at Myron's Steakhouse in New Braunfels. Dinner was soo delicious.  I definitely recommend the stuffed shrimp, and their jalapeño Mac and Cheese.  Okay, my mouth is watering.

Eric and Me. You can't see my nails, but I wore Absolutely Alice with a Konad design from one of the new plates. I will have to recreate it. It wasn't super special, but it really played off of my shoes and my coat. Oh yeah and the coat? $50 at one of the Sue Wong HauteLook sales!!!! Unbelievable! The detail on it is amazing. I've had so many compliments with this coat, and my dress which I don't have any good photos of it, is from A|X. I preordered the dress from their website a while back and picked it up at my local Armani Exchange. That is a great feature. It is the Strappy Banded Dress and I also wanted to get it in pink, but it is already gone! The bandage material is just like the Hervé Lerger which I love, and was only $120. I've also tried the bandage dresses from Victoria's secret and I just did not like the sweater material. Express has hopped on the bandage dress wagon, and I like their dresses.
But this one is magnificent. Next time I wear the dress I'll post photos. Oh, and yes he is grabbing my booty (His hand was turning white) I was completely unaware of it until I saw this photo, which happens to be the only one we took outside of Myron's Steakhouse.

Eric's parents bought me these shoes for Christmas.  They are RSVP Primrose, and you can find them on Zappos.com for around $70.  These are showstoppers.

This was before dinner at his parent's cabin. Ahh...the hillcountry. I love it up there.

Sorry Guys!

Hi Ladies!!
I promise I will have an actual post soon.  Things have been very hectic for the past week, and just as I was about to take a photo of my valentine's day gift from my husband, more Konad ;o)  , my camera dies.  Of course it does.  It always does that, and I'm sure it likes to watch me squirm.  So I will let this little punk charge overnight and have a proper post tomorrow.

Giveaway Soon :o)

Hi ladies!

I would love to have a giveaway, and after my first follower I was so excited I started gathering things for my first giveaway.

I don't want to spoil the goods, but just to give you all an idea it will include polishes (of course) & hair accessories (from my favorite hair accessory site, France Luxe).  Those are just two things.  I would include my favorite Ice creams, but that wouldn't ship very well.  :P

I know I'm slower than most at posting things, but I like to wear my mannis until they start to show signs of wear, which can be up to 5 days.  I'm still wearing Scrangie from Sunday and it still looks great!  I'll be changing it for this weekend I'll post pics on Sunday.

RBL Scrangie with Accent Nail in OPI Mad as a Hatter

On my nails I have RBL's Scrangie given to me by Kaybee at Look at this Polish. It is such a gorgeous pruple with a flash of blue and a hint of green.

I decided to do an accent nail with OPI's Mad as a Hatter on my ring finger and then I finished that off with a little fauxnad flower. I tried to capture the rainbow of colors in this polish. This is one thin coat of MAAH over Scrangie.

Rescue Beauty Lounge | Scrangie

Kaybee at Look at This Polish sent me Scrangie. I love this color and it looks great on her nails, but she had a problem with the formula so I let her know that I would've been more than happy to free her hands of this one. I did not have the same problem with the drying time.

I put two coats of my usual base Sally Hansen Insta-Brite this one does wonders even when wearing a bright red. I don't get any staining when I wear this base. Here I have two coats of Scrangie and I think it looks fabulous! I was so excited, I ripped the box open and applied the two coats after the base and then one coat of Seche Vite. 5 minutes later the top was dry, but still felt dentable and 10 minutes later they were completely dried. I'll have another post with my accent nail.

What do you think? Have any of you had problems with the application and quality of RBL's Scrangie?

Sephora by OPI - I'm with Brad | OPI - Royal Rajah Ruby

Here I have OPI's Royal Rajah Ruby. This is one coat over my existing mani which had some Coraline Konad over clear so I figured no big deal.  With the exception of my ring finger which has two rhinestones that now look like little lumps.

polishSWATCHES is having a contest and I looked at the color of the polish, but since the photograph has the soft blue lighting, and my images are a bright white with a bit of yellow my nail polishes came out more red.

Royal Rajah Ruby is a gorgeous burgundy wine color.

The color is closer to the area around the flash on my index finger.

Here is my husband! :P He let me paint his left hand as long as I clean it up later. He is wearing Sephora by OPI's I'm with Brad.

I'm with Brad has a little coffee color to it. Sometimes it has a brown color to it.

Let us try to help her find the closest dupe to Ciara's nail polish:

Old Man Chip.

Hi everyone!
I felt it was time I introduced "Old Man Chip". He just has that old-man look sometimes with his white beard and bushman eyebrows. He is the sweetest guy, and just look at those eyes. He was so sad for all of 2 minutes when Eric step out of the car. If both of us aren't in the car with him he tries to make the other one feel bad with those puppy-dog eyes.

I will have a real post tomorrow, hopefully. :P
