Essie Braziliant Summer 2011 | Swatches: Absolutely Shore, Super Bossa Nova, Braziliant and Smooth Sailing

The Braziliant Summer 2011 collection by Essie is hot!  I have my four faves from this collection.

Absolutely Shore:

Absolutely Shore | Two Coats

Absolutely Shore  | In the Shade
Absolutely Shore:  Is a fabulous pastel sea foam green.

Super Bossa Nova:

Super Bossa Nova | Two Coats

Super Bossa Nova | In the Shade
Super Bossa Nova:  Is a vibrant shimmery fuchsia.  The shimmer is on the soft blue side in the sun, but indoors it translates to a hot pink shimmer.

Braziliant:

Braziliant | Two Coats

Braziliant | In the Shade
Braziliant:  Is a vibrant orange with a hint of warm shimmer.  After swatching this one I really did not want to remove it, but I had to in order to swatch other colors.  After all the swatches were done.  I wore Braziliant and Super Bossa Nova as an actual manicure.  XD

Smooth Sailing:

Smooth Sailing | Two Coats

Smooth Sailing | In the Shade
Smooth Sailing:  According to Essie Smooth Sailing is a shimmery lavender blue, but it looks more like periwinkle to me in real life.  Nonetheless, it is a gorgeous color!  This is definitely one to grab.

Any of you grab all the colors from the Braziliant line?  What do you think about this collection?

OPI DS Exclusive & Silver Shatter | Like it? Then Win it!!

Hi fellow beauties!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you hard-working Moms!
Today is super cloudy, but I managed to catch a quick shot of Exclusive with Silver Shatter in a break between the clouds.

Two coats of Exclusive indoors:
OPI DS Exclusive
This applies like a dream.  Two smooth coats and it was opaque.  The color is a beautiful smooth holo magenta.  I find the color is similar to Extravagance except Extravagance has a scattered holo effect.

Another indoor shot:

OPI DS Exclsive with Silver Shatter:

Silver Shatter
Everyone has been releasing crackle polishes or announcing future releases.  Are you still digging the crack polishes?  I have fallen in love with Silver Shatter.  The application is fantastic!  I used one semi-thick coat and swiped side-to-side and diagonally on each nail.  My ring finger looks like something from a heart rate monitor!  :o)
Silver Shatter is totally hot in my opinion.

If you want OPI DS Exclusive and Silver Shatter.  Be sure to enter the Apothica Gift Certificate giveaway:

I'll send the winner of the Apothica giveaway these two hot colors.

Up next...CND's Jason Wu Collection.

Magnetic polishes from Nailart-und-mehr.de

I was researching the new nail art stampers (the ones that do not need a scraper and separate stamp) when I came across this site:

Nailart & Mehr

I recognized it because I saw someone mention it in a comment on someone's blog. I can't remember, but if some one knows who it was please let me know. I want to give you a ginormous thank you!!

I went to this company's website and the first thing I saw was...Magnet.

No friggin way, yes way. I ordered four magnetic polishes the star magnet and striped one as well as the stand. I'm sure I would touch the polish without it.

Check out what I just got in today!!

They sent a cute little bear nail charm!!

This looked like a glue type product which you can use with stamping products and them apply foils to create cute foil designs! I'll have to review it. I've been photographing so many things with my camera from lipsticks to polishes, but can't get my photo library to not crash. I'll have to reinstall the software and finally get that going so you all don't have to look at camera phone images.

The two nail stampers I picked out:

The four magnificent magnetic polishes I picked out!!!!

Blue night: ml-06
This one is my favorite!! It is blue with a purple shimmer. Of course you can't tell in this photo.

The magnets:

My quick trial:

These were so easy to use and dried very quickly! The finish is somewhat rubbery looking, and if I had a topcoat they could look super glossy.

Pricing and shipping is high, but at least they were able to send them to me here in Texas!!

A++++

I'm going to be getting the rest of their colors. I'd been lemming the Essence Magnetic polishes, but I'm sure even if I had one of those, it couldn't beat these puppies. Really, these come in colors like blue, green, red, purple, pink and of course the charcoal color.

The magnetic polishes are on their website for €8.95 each, the bottom of the bottle shows €9.95, but I was only charged €7.46 each.

Will any of you splurge and try them out?

Let me know or if you already have some, I'd like to see your swatches!  You can leave your blog page below, and if I'm not following you let me know as I like to see what you all come up with!

**Pic Heavy** Nationwide Nail Supply | More Glam & Glits + OPI Shrek (The colors I had to have)

Howdy!

Of course I went back after playing around with the Moonstone nail decorations, and I picked up some other colors.
The last few times I stopped by there, I skipped on the Shrek Collection by OPI, but after so many swatches of this fun collection I realized I needed the Bright and Vivid Colors.

This is what I picked up:

Front to Back:  OPI's Funky Dunkey and G&G's Sugilite, OPI's Who The Shrek Are You? and G&G's Ruby, OPI's Ogre-The-Top Blue and G&G's Aquamarine

The lucky three.  :o)

Glam & Glits

Play time!!

On my left hand I used Ogre-The-Top Blue:

On my right hand is Funky Dunkey:

 Finally...a touch of contrasting sparkle!
I used Sugilite and Ruby on Ogre-The-Top Blue to create a diamond.
I'm right-handed, but man this design is much more crooked than the one on my right hand.  Apparently my left hand is steadier when putting a little glam on.  :oP

My right hand has Aquamarine and Ruby on Funky Dunkey.
Ahh...Much better.

I do enjoy the consistency of these.  The first coat was a little streaky, but the second coat made everything smooth like butter (Or liquid Caramel...Mmmm).

My husband had the fan on, and it was making each application dry so quickly I had to keep applying a clear coat to stick the diamonds on.

I always use two coats of Seche Clear, and this stops any polish from staining my nails (At least on me it works).
After those two, I use OPI's Dry & Brittle Nail Envy because I have thin razor-like nails.  :(  Good for scratching my back at least.
Two coats of color, and then I top them off with a nice thick coat of Seche Vite.  Sometimes I use Out The Door.
I used an additional coat of Seche vite over the diamonds as some still had edges I could feel.

Until next time!

Holy Toledo!! | Haul from Nationwide Nail Supply

Okay!
I've been to Nationwide Nail Supply in Houston so many times in the past, but I drove by a few weeks ago and realized that I have not stopped by in so long.

So I wandered in and was mesmerized by how much more they have now than they did 2 almost 3 years ago.  (Of course they would have more)
They have two double-sided OPI stands with so many new colors and some that I have wanted for quite some time, but did not want to pay a good bit of money for.

They also had a large China Glaze rack, an Essie rack, Color Club Rack, Art Club Rack, an isle of Chelsea and others like it, Orly and the entire collection of Zoya Polishes.

Ahhh!  I was kicking myself after seeing it because they Zoya's were less than $4.00 each!

Anyway...I grabbed the polishes below, OPI Lint-Free Wipes 150ct for $1.00, and Qtica Vanilla Plum Hand Scrub for only $6.00!!!!  Woohoo!  I love this scrub!

They are meant to be wholesale, and the prices I got were from the owner.  Depending on when you come in you can either get things for less expensive than other places or you can get them for less, less, less (I repeat) less expensive than anywhere else I have ever seen, but if you have a license you can get everything for even less than that!!

The top row are polishes that I got for the 259 followers Giveaway.  :oP
(Yeah, that's how long ago this was taken)
CG OMG, OPI DS Extravagance and OPI Glow-Ink in the Dark.
The bottom row has CG OMG, OPI DS Sapphire, Glow-Ink in the Dark, Exclusive (I already owned Extravagance) and Chelsea Kaleidoscope.

Until Next Time!
